Going to start on you The Spanish Princess series. I'd love to read your thoughts on that "Mary Shelley" movie. Totally get what you mean. It's like the writers and historians don't even try. I have the same issue with historical novels about real life historical figures. Just infuriates me!
First time I saw Mary Shelley the movie, I thought -- wow, she was amazing but ... why would such an intelligent girl get sucked in by that loser Percy? And then I found out he was a teetotaler so him being a drunk was made up; that her novel was more about her under-stated fears of being a mother while pregnant (not an angry diatribe against Percy and her dad) and... that a lot of it is just ridiculous.
I don't know WHY people make up stuff for movies, when oftentimes, the real story is a lot more compelling or interesting than the screenplay!
I didn't know that about Percy Shelley. I did find myself wondering throughout the movie, why she loved him so. Since in the movie he wasn't as constant. Interesting...especially her inspiration for Frankenstein wasn't what they led us to believe. I still think you should do a post about the movie.

Amen. Truth is more fascinating than fiction.
I will, for sure. I just need to read a couple of biographies about them first! haha.
Awesome! Thank you!
